My Favorite Piece of Technology


 My cell phone is one of the most important objects for me and my favorite, my first cell phone I think I had it when I was 7 years old and since then I have not stopped using it.

I love all the functions you can do today on a cell phone, before you could only call or send messages.But now you can take pictures, play games, watch series even buy things.

I look at my cell phone as soon as I wake up and it´s the last thing I use when I go to sleep, most of the time I use it to watch instagram, listen to music or send texts by WhatsApp, I also take a lot of pictures of my pet.

My cell phone keeps me connected with my friends and informs me about what´s going on in the world, especially now that we are in a pandemic and you can´t have physical contact with others.

I totally recommend having a cell phone as it changes your live.

    Aww you take photos of your pet, that is very cute. I also do that to and I have a special folder for that.

English 4, Post 5, 'My future job'

 In the future I would love to work in the research and development of vaccines or medicines, this work is never done outdoors because the research is done in a laboratory, so if you work in the area of research and development of medicines you will almost never see the sunlight, I like that because I hate the sun and the heat.  Although there are some branches of pharmaceutical companies in Chile, most probably if you want to get a job in this area you have to travel abroad, most are in USA and Europe, also if you want to be a researcher in any scientific area you will have to go abroad because here there are no such laboratories and Chile does not invest in science, so in short if you want to be a scientist you have to go abroad. Living abroad is an experience I want in my life. The truth is that I have no idea what the salary is for research and development of medicines or vaccines, but the approximate salary for a biochemist in Chile would be one million Chilean ...

English 4, Post 8 , 'English Language challenges'

 I have only had two English courses at university and I really enjoyed both of them, I loved the use of blogs, for me it was a lot of fun to write about some topics. I have always found it easier to write in English than to speak it, I can understand what people say to me, but I struggle to know what to say and how to respond, but they always say practice makes perfect, so I just need to practice the speaking part more to get better. My cousins were born in New Zealand, so they speak almost no Spanish, in order to talk to them I have to do it in English, I talk to them a couple of times a week and almost always by video call since they are little and don't have a cell phone yet, I still struggle to understand some words because they have English accents and I learned English with an American accent throughout my schooling.
